Normally 1 1/4 wet return, 2" main? what size header?

Thanks Skymaster, that's what I wanted to hear. I have a 2 inc supply, and had a 1 inc water return, didn't seem to do it. It was taking to long for the water to return to the boiler, and the auto feed was kicking in. I changed it today to 1 1/4 and it seems to be working okay, but time will tell. Thanks

Also be sure there is a vent in the main. Should be there when system was first done, find it and be sure it is working, if any doubts replace it with one of identical size ( venting wise). It will look like a radiator vent but on steroids :}:}:}:} usually 1/2 or 3/4 IP.

Thanks, took care of that:thumbsup: I installed a new one while I was doing the pipes, 3/4 steam pipe vent!

Glad it worked out. Enjoy
