I have just purchased an older home (1790), which is equipped with two steam boilers. Both of them need to be replaced, plus 2 of the insanely-heavy cast iron radiators are cracked. At first glance, it could be possible to link both systems and operate on only one boiler. I'm no HVAC expert and need to look at all my different options, and its quite overwhelming, frankly.
I'm sure there are retro-fit or so options available out there, and since i need to replace the boilers anyway, i'd like to invest in an updated, energy efficient, eco-friendly alternative that could save heating costs and energy, while adding to the value of the house.
Anyone with a vision? or the foundation of a solution?
