i have a problem with my outside wood boiler I have a home made boiler closed system with water capasity of about 50 gals but the stove i welded the the heat tank to is bigger stove than my old one when i hooked it up an started heating it it over heated not enough water volume so i got a old feuloil tank plumed it to my systemworked great till it got to temp bout 150 deg's then the tank smeled up an split seem bout 4or 5 psi is the tank not strong enough or what plaese reply thanks

If you're just using water, maybe a glycol mix to lower the boiling point would help? Aside from that, water / steam causes pressure to build, is there a temp/pressure relief valve in the system?

yes 30psi but tank swelled up at 4or5 psi at 150 deg's should i get a stronger tank one made for presure i split one allready this is secound one
