Question

Starting Issue w/Miller Heat Pump

I was working outside next to my Miller Heat Pump the other day and I noticed that when it starts up, it seems to take 2 or 3 attempts to get the compressor operating. After niticing this, I notice that you can tell the power consumption cut in & out when it is starting up on my bedside light (bright -dim). Once it is started it works great and this does not occur at every startup.
What can I do to address this issue.

Thanks in advance
Barry

I would also check all of the electrical connections from the breaker box to the contactor.

Did that....nothing found and the pushing to ensure contact had no effect.

Thanks

You need hard start kit for 3 Ton unit. The capacitor you need to see the MFD value.

you would need to call a nordyne dealer/wholesaler and give them the model and serial so that they could tell you what value capacitor is needed.

here's a pdf of the parts list online for your series of heat pumps:

http://www.centraltrailer.com/resour...T3QC_MT3QC.pdf

capacitor is part number 620763 which shows up as a 40+5 dual run capacitor.
