standing pilot in carrier furnace

I have a pilot light that is intermittent. have replaced thermocouple, pilot assembly and gas valve. after the furnace runs for a few cycles the pilot goes out. is there a safety over ride in the valve that will shut off the pilot light?

make sure the pilot just heats the tip of the t.couple. AS tech said . those old carrier heat exchangers were bad about cracks/ holes
