Sort of a whistling noise from standing pilot furnace (gas valve possibly)?
After the burner came on, a whistling noise (not a high-pitched whistling noise, but a lower-pitched whistling-type noise) sounded like it could have been coming from the gas valve. Doesn't seem like it could have come from anywhere else - blower was not running yet. The noise disappeared after a minute or so.
Edit: Pattern of the main burner flame was not disturbed by the whistling noise.
Possibly dirt or spider nest in gas valve outlet or burner tube? Gas valve need replacing? Wont' be working on it myself - just looking for advice. This is the first time pilot was lit this season.
