Snyder General 1990 GUH furnace ignition problem

PROBLEM: Main burner shut off as soon as blower turns on

DISCUSSION: I've checked the users manual and installation instructions concerning the above problem. I replaced the flame sensor after cleaning it off did not solve the issue. As soon as the fan and limit switch (older dial type) clicks to turn the blower on, flame goes out. At this point am I left with replacing the ignition module as the only possible solution left????

Thanks for the help!!!

I thought the fan limit switch only controlled the blower fan. The main blower does turn on when it clicks at the on temp setpoint. Please elaborate - sorry for any obvious ignorance on my part....

Your combo fan/limit does both. If your "fan on" setting is set too close to the limit setting it is possible to kill the burners and energize the fan. That's what it's designed to do.
