I want to check inside of the return box....check in this video 9:00

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IV0Rw...eature=related

In this video they used fog machine...works perfect but only duct. Do you think the smoke can damage the coil if we use the fog machine with AC running?

Fog machines put off a small amount of oil. So you don't want the A/C running, or it could be drawn onto the coil. Don't need the A/C running to use the fog machine. It will push its smoke through the whole system. just have to seal the registers as they show in the vid.

Ok, the problem will be isolate the coil from the plenum, that way the fog won't get in the coil. Thanks beenthere

Do you use mastic inside on the return box?

Sometimes. If i can't get to the edges/seams from the outside.

Just connect the fog machine similar to what they did in the video, and you won't have to remove teh coil.

You put the mastic on the tape.
There is mastic tape, but it doesn't have the mesh, its backes with foil tape.
