Smartvalve, ok to use sv9501 instead of sv9502...advise plz!

The Sv9502h2522 and Sv9501m2528 are almost idectical except:

9502 has pre-purge of 15seconds.
9502 is "slow opening"

9501m2528 has no pre purge and is "standard opening"

My local HVAC service/parts supplier sold me sv9501m2528. He said I can use this in place of 9502's. He also mentioned they use sv9501m2528 to replace 9502's in the field because it makes no difference and the 9501m2528 is $40-$60 cheaper than u can find 9502's.

I have replaced my bad 9502 with this 9501, furnace runs great. But I am nervous and need to know if running this valve with the slight differences it has from the original is in any way dangerous or can damage the furnace. Plz advise. Thanks so much.

When it gets colder out. it will light harder(louder) without the delay and slow open.
