* 80% AFUE
* 45K or 50K BTUH
* Low-Nox, California approved
* PSC motor ( my Fresno HVAC guy assures me that if an ECM motor or its driver board breaks, I will be VERY unhappy with the parts cost )
* two stage - for versatility
Right now, the closest I've found is the Goodman GMH80403AX. The only thing I don't like about it is that externally it looks like a one-stage. It just has a couple of dip switches to let you go low-heat for some minutes, then switch to high heat. I would REALLY rather have true two-stage control.
Anybody know of anything closer? Maybe in another brand? It seems there's not that many low-BTUH furnaces out there. Needing Lo-Nox narrows the field even further.
If your buying it over the internet, the you have no warranty. If you get it through a regular dealer, you can get a 10 yea parts warranty. VS ECM motors seldom fail. Just many don't know how to trouble shoot them, and condemn the motor, when there is nothing wrong with it.
