Slow results after bleeding pipes, why?

Hello, can anyone tell me why it takes a full day for the hot water to circulate through my pipes after bleeding them. I have a gas hot water furnace with baseboard heating.

Do you have a furnace or a boiler?

Thanks for responding. Um not sure what the difference is between a furnace and a boiler but I believe its a boiler.
