Sizing and installing Ductwork.

Today I got the second section to my ductwork to finnally go into attic. This maybe a stupid question, but what the heck. I figure the two sections ("the plenum and ELL") attach with screws. Is there a different manner they mate up. The pic is of the ELL where it would mount to plenum. Oh! clean out in drain attached as you indicated
