Do they still sell 3 phase wire? What about AC vs DC?

That's easy. Solid for AC, stranded for DC. The three phase wire is kept by the drywall stretchers.

Ah! Thats why my expensive stereo speaker stranded wire has arrows pointing to the speakers, so the electrons go in the right direction. Next topic, plumber jokes

There is a reason for the arrows, but it has to do with the shielding and not the signal flow. For speaker wires I don't see how it matters, but interconnects may benefit more. I think it's a load of BS. Just another "selling" point that the overpriced cable companies, i.e. Monster, can claim. "Directional audio cables" sounds a lot more high-end.

Just bought some incredible Monitor Audio speakers. Had my salesguy loan me a set of high end cables to compare and try at home. They do make a big difference. I don't buy Monster as there are other brands with better performance for the $$ without paying for a name. A power conditioner is a good buy for the $$.
