Simple wiring diagram

Hey folks,

i'm installing an armstrong central air system. Duct and refrigerant are set up, no problem. The wiring is a different story.

- The outside unit gets the power directly from my box, correct?
- The two yellow wires coming out of the outside unit, i'm not sure of.
- The air handler has a blue, red, and green wire near the fan. I will hook up the blue to the RC on the stat, the green to the G on the stat, but not sure about the red.
- I'm also not sure about the yellow and black coming from the air handler. They are a larger gauge wire.

Some help?

Thanks in advance!

Simple wiring diagram

donttouch, Welcome to the Forum

From your screen name, I think you may be apprehensive in handling circuits and rightly so, you can not only injure yourself but, by not fully understanding why things are done, you may, even if it seems to work the first time, be creating a future fatal hazard to someone else.

My advice is to get professional Help. Wiring is not only knowing which wire goes where but HOW are the connections made. Even if you avoid immediate injury to yourself, you may cause immediate or long term damage to your system.
