Shower extractor venting

I have a shower extractor fan semi installed. I am unsure on how to finish the job. The fan and electrics have been connected, and everything is fitted, apart from the ducting that should run to the outside. My house is in the middle of a terrace row, so I do not have a wall that I can use for this.

Prior to this afternoon, my plan had been to poke the outside end of the duct down through the eaves, but that was a stupid idea.

The extractor kit provides a vent for the end of the duct to connect to, but I don't know where to mount this.

What is your run?
Preferred is going out through a gable end, wall, or soffit. Roof penetrations should be kept to a minium, IMHO.

I don't understand what you mean by this

I don't have a gable end or other external wall accessible from the loft space, as I am in the middle of a terrace row.

Run is distance. You should not have more than 25 ft. from the fan to the vent opening (outside). Elbows count as 5 ft.
If you can't find another way out, a roof penetration may be your only option. I would recommend a pro for this.

Oh I see. The distance is only a couple of metres with 1 bend.

I think the soffit will be the best choice. Thanks for your help

The rise (height) should be higher at the unit so that the condensation can drain to the outside. Use ridgid duct, start installation at the soffit and work back to the fan. Think about how shingles work. Keep the duct seams up. Use aluminum tape, duct tape is for astronauts.
