Shower Dripping Hot Water, Should I Shut Off Emergency Oil Burner Switch?

I recently bought a house and its my first with oil heat. My shower is dripping/leaking hot water. I am calling a plumber to fix the leak as I have no experience whatsoever in plumbing. Meanwhile I don't want to waste my oil by creating hot water that is just dripping out of the unused shower. There is an emergency oil burner shutoff switch at the top of the steps leading to the basement. Should I switch this off to conserve my oil and if I do will it be as easy as switching it back on to get it working again? Thanks for any help you all can give me here. It is my first post.

There should be a valve to shut off hot water to that specific bathroom (or even to that specific shower).

Even if there are no isolation valves anywhere, unless the hot water is really gushing out, the amount of oil you'll burn is microscopic.
