Should you cover the AC condensation drain opening in the attic?

I had a block of my AC condensation line which I cleared with the use of a wet/dry vac-- suctioned from the outside opening of the drain pipe. I then went to the attic to pour some diluted bleach into the drain opening but I did not see any type of cover for this opening. Should there be a cover for this and if so can I just use a bottle cap to cover this opening or should I leave it open? Thanks

leave it open, needs 2 B open to allow the drain to not get airlocked and siphon/drain properly.

"Cut it twice and it is still too short".
