Should I add a heat register to this room? PIC*

Ok, here is my family room. The problem is, its always a little to cold down here. The room does not have adequate heat register I don't think. It has two on one wall that you can see in the second pic (the other is on the other side of the couch). The branch runs in a soffit across the room. It would be pretty easy for me to soffit down right next to the soffit that you can which contains the support pole and add a register. The uncertainties I have are as follows: 1. The register would have to stop above the freezewall and be about 4' off the floor so I don't know how much it will help. 2. I don't know if tapping off of my heating system will effect the heat going to other rooms. 3. Any other questions I might be missing... Can anyone shed some light...

The heat is forced hot air by oil.

It is very difficult to get a comfortable setup for one room only especially if it is in a basement. I would recommend a electric baseboard heater. If you want good control of it buy a good 240 volt type and have a thermostat for it installed on the wall. The advantages are that you have control of the room temp/comfort and you can turn it up only when you need it( saves $$). I balance ductwork in large houses and unless you have a zoning system with dampers/tstat for that room you won't get what you want. Zoning systems are very expensive/complicated and not suited for 1 room only unless you want to custom design it/have lots of $$ to spend.

Yeah. I see what you are saying I thought of electric baseboard or even an electric fireplace. I just didn't know if maybe the registers were too few for the room and if it would hurt to try to just add another... Thanks for the suggestions.
