Securing stacks between studs...

Just wondering what the best way to secure stacks in between studs is. I have a stack running between two studs in a utility room feeding a 6x10 register on the other side. The utility room is unfinished. I just want to secure the stack in place. I was thinking maybe just like a piece of strapping across the two studs, screw into the back of the stack in the middle?

Securing stacks between studs...

Usually, that is how stacks are secured (strapping on the back, and secured between the studs).
