Ruud model UGDG-10EAMER gone cold

I came home to lots of cold (Michigan, 70 yesterday, 38 today - no joke). My furnace was not lit so I opened it up. We could hear the click that seemed to start things up. The blower turned on, and we could vaguely smell the gas. But the igniter is stone cold. We waited until we could hear it trying to ignite, but no luck. After two tries we were concerned about the faint smell of gas so we shut it down, including turning off the power. The previous owner didn't give us a manual. It was installed in '94 and we bought the house is '07.

The contractor who installed it was brilliant and left his business card tucked behind the power switch, but that was a long time ago.

BTW, it's late Monday night on a holiday weekend.

Can anyone help or get me a copy of the manual, or a location I can find it?

Go to the Ruud / Rheem website they have most of their manuals available online. For some stuff you have to register.
Does the motherboard have a flashing light on it. If so look at the back of the door panel for the code that tells you what the flashing light means.

Gas furnace? Look like this on the inside?

Are there any codes flashing on the control board? Put the stat in heat and go and look, count the flashes. Might be one or two fast ones followed by one or two or however many slow ones or vice versa. Then on the inside of the service door there'll be a legend explaining what that codes means. Find that out and we'll be able to assist you further, hopefully get you heat tonight if it's possible.
