Ruud heat pump high pressure switch

Did a job a couple weeks ago for some guy, he sent me to another job.
He said service valve was leaking and he wanted me to fix it, he also said the defrost board was bad.
The leak was two copper pipes rubbing each other, the defrost board was still good he just took the H/P switch out of the loop.
I have seen this a lot with Ruud units.
So what up with Ruud H/P switchs?

Its usually not the switch. But the way its installed. Or, its overcharged.

On the old short air handlers. If the regain collar wasn't made. Techs would over charge them in cooling mode. Which made them trip the HP switch in heating mode.

The name plate said 124 oz.
The charging chart said the head pressure on a 85 degree day should be 205
I put in 120 oz. and the head was 205
House temp. was 85 supply air was 64.

Make sure both coils are clean. And check air flow.
