Ringing sound from furnace

In the summer of 2006 I bought a new two-stage American Standard gas furnace. Last winter I noticed a recurring ringing sound when the furnace was operating at the higher, stronger stage. Called the company that installed it - guy came to look at it - told me that he definitely heard it - but really couldn't do anything about it. Hearing again now that the heat is on steadily. Anyone know what that might be? Bearings? Bad motor? Anyone run into this with Am Standard before? It's the Freedom 80, Comfort R model. Thanks in advance for any response. It's got a 10 yr warranty and I'm calling to have it looked at again.

Ringing sound from furnace

Unfortunately a ringing sound may not be preventable. Newer furnaces often make a ringing sound, which won't affect performance. I'd have it checked out, especially the gas pressure. Likely, though, it's nothing.
