Hello, I looked at a home w/a rheem ac unit and I can't see any info on the seer rating of the unit. It's a 14 ajm and a rhkl 4 ton unit. I went on the rheem website and found out that the 14 ajm can have up to a 17 seer rating can anybody tell me what this combination would have? Thanks in advance.
it is a minimum 14 seer and depending on the specific model and which size and type of evaporator coil they installed may cause it to be higher. if it the furnace/air handler has a ECM NRG saving motor it adds 1 more seer to the package. w/o knowing the coil type you won't know so I would say 14 seer. if you buy the home get the freon level checked etc so it works properly. seer ain't no good if it is missing freon or the condensor is dirty.
