rheem gas pack a/c not working

This is a 3.5 ton scroll compressor unit that ran ok last summer and winter, however this summer the compessor will sometimes not run, only the indoor fan motor is running and the draft fan is running. the thermostat is set for cooling, but the compressor will not run, the contactor is not on neither. the indoor fan can not be turn off by the thermostat. the main power switch is needed to turn the unit off. the thing thats weird and happens each time is that the draft blower motor is
also running even though no heat is call for. This is a Rheem package unit.
has anyone seen anything similiar?

SOunds like a bad thermostat

Remove stat and jump R/Y/G and see if the cooling works

If the inducer is running then something is calling for heat/inducer fan relay on. Or you have a bad board. Had any power surges/lightning lately? Adding more jumpers may fry the board if that relay is on/hanging. If you can find the relay on the board labeled IDR or similar and the inducer is running, try tap it lightly. If the inducer stops and the A/C starts then you have a short in the back of the board. Usually you can read the letters on those relays with a magnifying glass and trace it on the wiring diagram.

Did I miss something Yuri?

How would jumper fry this board if he jumps R/Y/G ?

The Perfect Storm scenario. If there is a bad solder joint/short on the board or that relay and its circuit are partially energized from vibration on the board/short and you energize another part of the board at the same time in theory it could do more damage. Sounds like a bad board to me. Carrier had lots of boards on their mids with bad solder joints. Fan won't shut off and the inducer is running at the same time. Too many things going wrong at the same time. Whenever I get weird intermittent problems I always gingerly remove the furnace doors etc and try catch the unit acting up in "real time". Hate it when the power is reset and the damn thing starts working again with no symptoms.

Could be a wonky limit switch or spill switch.

Thanks For the information, here is an update.. I notice that when the
compressor was not running, and the draft blower and indoor blower were
running. there was not any 25 volts at the thermostat terminals, in the process of touching the wiring and or circuit board the unit would toggle
from working ok, to back to the same not working properly state. To get to the end: I was looking a the six point connector socket and the terminal looked spreaded or enlarged compared to one that had been previously removed from that unit. After the 6 pin socket on the circuit board was replaced, the unit has been working fine, no more intermittent problems.. I would have initially replaced the circuit board however iit cost approximately 170.00 , and i wasn't sure if the intermittent condition was on or off the board... again, thanks to all for the response.
