Rheem furnace blower problems
I have a Rheem electric furnace RBHA-17 and the blower motor will not automatically come on when the heater turns on. I can tell that the heater elements are turning on, but the blower motor will not start. I can however force the blower to come on by changing the fan settings to 'ON' rather than 'AUTO', so i know that the motor itself operates fine. I have temporarily rigged the themostat so that the blower is forced on when the heater is on by crossing the green and white wires. I have a feeling that some type of relay is to blame, is this assumption correct, and if so, how much should i expect to pay someone to fix it, or how hard is it to do it myself? Thanks!
