return vents high or low

With a high heat load in factory setting should the return vents be high, along with the supply registers. It seems I am not getting total room exchange. Seems like the cold air is being circulated before it even drops to the floor.

Welcome Johnnyg, to the best darn DIY'r site on the web.

Not sure what you are referring to when you say factory settings?

Is the high heat load in a house?

Mark
