Replacing a thermostat


i'm trying to replace an old thermostat, but the directions for the new one only have a 5 wire directions, while my old one had 6.

orange, green, blue, white 2, red and yellow 1.

the installation directions only talk about Green, Yellow, White, Rc and Rh...


someone please help

Replacing a thermostat


Do you have a heat pump? Post the make, model # of the furnace/air handler and heat pump or A/C unit.

Replacing a thermostat


Your new stat is not a heat pump stat if there is no O/B terminal. That orange wire energizes your reversing valve. I suspect that if you look at the compatability chart that comes with the stat you will see that it is not capable of HP operation.

i have a lennox hp26 series air handler... how do i find out which one to get?

Replacing a thermostat


That's a heat pump so you need a heat pump thermostat . Needs to be 2 heat /1 cool.
