Replacing insulation inside blower compartment of Furnace
In the process of cleaning my return plenum and seailing it, I took out my blower to clean it. Everything was incredibly dirty. There is 1/4" insulation inside the blower compartment that needs to be replaced or just removed. The blower is right next to the heater, and further down the line is the A/C coils. THe unit is in a semi-conditioned space, so I'm not sure if condensation would be an issue if I left the insulation out. Any recomendations as to what kind of insulation I would put in there? It looks like it is just regular black 1/4 inch insulation glued to the sides, but I don't want to just put anything in there with it being next to the furnace.
