Replace Windows Units with Central AC

Hi, I am first time homebuyer and would like to get your expert advice.

I just bought a house and it has Window Units for AC and Baseboard gas heating. I would like to get CentralAC installed, but don't know how much it would cost, can you guys provide a rough ball park figure for 1300 Sq.ft colonial single family home ?

I know I should have contacted the local contractors but I would like to get a rough estimate and see If i should go for it or not. Also for me I don't where I can find a contractor, a reliable contractor.

Thanks

Where do you live? No ballpark prices are going to be close to your local contractors and it depends on make, model and cost of living in your area. $3000-$6000 where I am ( 6 bills for the Lexus).

This site is geared towards DIY & not cost estimates
Getting some local estimates is your best bet
