Replace the limiter on my Amana furnace & my thermostat shorted out.

The limiter replacement was very easy - 4 wires. As soon as I tuned on the heat via the thermostat - the thermostat shorted out. What next? Any suggestions? Now the air doesn't work either. Thank you!

Bet the limit is touching the cabinet and causing a direct short to ground. Or... you didn't break the tab separating the high and low voltage on the limit and just fried every 24v component. Hope not.
