Question

Replace Fan Motor

My a/c was working fine but it did need to be cleaned. I had a tech out to clean the coils and clear drain lines. Three days later the fan stopped running, now they say I need to replace the motor. What do you think? Is this just a coinsidance or is it possible he tech made a mistake and got the motor or wiring wet? What if anything can I do to prove mistake?

Replace Fan Motor

The outdoor motor is weatherproof/watertight so he could not damage it. Probably it is moving more air now that the coil is clean and the motor was weak and the extra speed it is now running finally croaked it.
