recharging heat pump compressor
 

i installed a new compressor on a heat pump package unit, and would like to know the correct way to charge it apon start up ?

After a leak check and vacuum pump to 500 microns weigh in the charge. Hopefully you replaced the biflow drier when the system was open.

By weight. The data lavel of the package unit, should have its operating charge on it.
