Radiant barrier and realtive humidity question
I live in Arkansas and I am thinking about installing a radiant barrier in our Attic. The temprature in the summmer usually is in the 90s with dew points easily reaching 78F.
Our attic stays dry and we never had mold issues and I am attributing that to the fact that the usually "higher" temprature in the attic (say 120F) is usually enough to reduce the relative humidity to say 50% or less. Would adding the foil based insulation reduce the temprature to the point where the relative humidity be sufficient to support mold / mildew growth??
