Question for Gregzoll

In your response to the thread (A/C not cooling upper floor), you stated:

"We went through and used UV film on all of our windows, and it has cut the heat gain down at least 65%, which allows our home to stay cooler. Also had a attic ventilator installed to help keep the heat gain down in the attic. Both together have helped to keep our cooling costs down."

Could you be specific as to the type of attic ventilator your have? I have full soffit vents front and back, as well as ridge vents, but there doesn't seem to be any airflow (hot as hell up there). I'm not trying to cut costs; just want to get rid of the heat.

First of all, I'm not Greg......
But I may be able to answer your question. Attic fans are available in different sizes, based on CFM's. The sq. footage of your attic is the variable you need to determine to choose the proper size.

Do you want it your way or the right way?

It is just a standard power vent fan. Majority are going to be around 1500cfm.
