propane smell coming out of new unit

I just got a new "gas pack" installed and there is a slight (sometimes moderate) smell coming out of the unit that is somewhat bothersome to my neighbor, whose house is a few feet away. The unit was installed 2 weeks ago. Is this a normal odor to be coming out of the unit on the outside of the house?

I wouldn't think so. I would get those folks back there ASAP, sounds like you have a leak

If the tank is running low the additives tend to become more concentrated and you get an abnormally strong odor. dont rule out a leak, but ive seen this with propane stoves. when the tank gets low the smell is quite strong.
