Propane heater to natural gas


i bought online the mr heater model MHVFB20TB LP propane heater.i either ordered the wrong heater or they sent me the wrong one,since i have natural gas.it states clearly on the box that this can only be used with propane gas.can this heater be converted to be used with natural gas.i have included 2 pics,one showing the gas connection.thank you, paul

IT might but since it is their fault, have them replace it.

You would have to replace or convert the regulator and replace the burner orifices.

thanks for the reply,,, i have to call the company monday and find out if i ardered it wrong or they sent me the wrong one. you are right it would not be worth converting it if i can just return it at their expense for the shipping

picture of piping shows natural gas and propane.. so it most likely can be converted....but why do that...it new still in box...ship it back and get the right one tell them its there mistake....ben sr

It list both gas pressures. most likely because its cheaper to have one box printed with both pressures, then to have a separate box for each fuel.

sorry i did not read post completely ...you say you don't know if it was your mistake or theres....always be honest tell them just the way you explained it here ..it will all work out... even ..worst case it cost some added shipping...ben sr

Propane heater to natural gas


a lot of the heaters come shipped to be used for either. Read the instructions and see if there is a selector switch on the thing that will let you select NG. The last two wall heaters that I installed had this option.

I pulled up the owners manual and your out of luck. Propane only.
