The power is ridiculous, eh? That baby has more torque at idle than just about any gasser could ever dream of having at 5K revs. Hell, redline is what, 3K?

BTW, what is a tranny shift kit?

Tranny shift kit is a performance upgrade, removes the being in two gears inbetween upshifting altogether, slams it into gear.

Usually when an auto tranny is shifting it's in two gears at the same time, called shift overlap. Not with this.

Kinda like a hard start kit for a compressor. Reduces wear on the tranny.

This pic is from the Craigslist add.

And these horrible pics are from my camera phone when I first test drive her a few days ago. I have a digital camera which I'll take some pics with in a bit.

The KBB private party value of that truck in fair condition, fair being the lowest rated value meaning as long as it's running but in dire need of work such let's say the motor is on the ground in pieces but it's running, is over $8000.00.

I paid $5400 cash. And she's in pretty dang good shape.

I've only driven her about 25 miles when bringing her home last night but I don't see myself ever owning a gasoline engine truck again.

Night and day from an F150.

Thanks. I'm happy, especially with the price. Color is Dark Highland Green, I believe. It does look like someone rubbed the driver rear quarter panel against an Oak Tree, around the wheel well, but it's a work truck and my first diesel. It needs tires all the way around and possibly some front shocks and then an alignment and that's where I'll leave it.

I'll have the differential gear box fluid changed as well, most likely. There's some kind of sensor which effects the tranny in the differential.

Other than that, this is a friggin' tank.

I'm not sure yet. I'd like something more road ready, not so blocky. I checked out and priced some Cooper Discover AT's. Although they're not as aggressive looking they are aggressive enough all terrains, but are more tuned toward road stability. I'll mostly be on the road. I'll get something E rated, whatever they may be.

I'm not certain of which I like better, looking at pics of the truck or driving it.
