I see from research that the Polaris water heater is a great option for using a combi dhw and space heater. Can't seem to find whether the side taps are connected to a dedicated heat exchanger or whether they are open to the potable water.
I'd like to avoid mixing the two systems.
Otherwise I would have to use a plate exchanger and more circs.
Any advise would help...
Just checked online. It appears that some Polaris (Navien) water heaters are equipped with dual heat exchangers. Might be of more help if model number given.
Thanks but navien (tankless) heaters Re not related. The units I'm talking about are high eff tank units by gsw or John woods.
Any opinions on using a water heater for dual purpose??
