plenum transistion

I need to extend the plenum downward enough so I can get it off the floor joist and insulate it. It is a rectangle trunk (didn't measure it yet). Should I be able to find prefabbed sections of this trunk or have to make my own transition? I'd really like to just transition to a new trunk all together and replace all the old runs etc.

If you have any sheet metal shops in your vicinity they should be able to make you an offset/transition fairly quickly and inexpensively if you provide the proper measurements.

The same for the duct. Most shops can even insulate the duct internally if you'd prefer.
