Pilot light won"t stay lit.

The pilot light on my Williams stand-up gas wall heater will not stay lit, even after I hold the primer buton down for a minute. Is there a procedure to clean around the pilot area (it is very dirty) Or should I be replacing something?

Pilot light won"t stay lit.

themocoupler is more than likely bad.screws into the control valve and the other end is a probe sits near the pilot lite. very easy to change.
