Pilot Light with no pilot setting

Hi.

I'm trying to light my pilot light, however I don't see a pilot setting. There is only on and off setting. Please help because it is getting cold.:help::help::help::help::shuriken:

Then you don't have a pilot light. Post the make and model of your furnace (?) and a picture may help also.

Also describe what happens when you turn up the thermostat?
Do you hear or see anything going on in the furnace?
Do you see any blinking led lights in the furnace.
Have you tried turning off the electrical power to the furnace for a couple of minutes and then turning it back on?

It is a 1986 furnace. I had forgotten that it was covered under my homeowner's warranty. I called them out and they said that the transformer on it went out. There is no pilot setting because there is no constant flame. It only turns on when needed. I guess the past owner's made some improvements to it before I bought the house.

Thanks!
