Pex pipe

Is it ok to use pex pipe to feed baseboard fin tubing? I would like to add a run in my basement and thought it would make it way easier to use pex.

Thanks.

I have pex running to the baseboard on my first floor, unfortunately my heat isn't working properly(see my post if interested "Hydronic baseboard not working properly"). I have been told the there isn't an issue using pex, infact my base board calls for 3/4'' piping and I have 1/2'' but my plumber (one I trust) has told me that 1/2'' pex has the same flow rate as 3/4''. so in short yes you can use pex

I have only used pex for radiant heating, have never used it or seen it used on baseboard. I'm not saying it's not used for baseboard heat though.

If you can get the proper fittings go for it. Use 5/8 pex for 3/4 copper.

Your plumber is wrong for heating systems.
And thats why yours isn't working right.
