Pellet Stove

Inga58 Newbie   Join Date: Sep 2010 Posts: 1	Pellet Stove Can I hook up a pellet stove to my existing radiators to heat my home ? We now have a oil burner and would like to remove and add this type of heat.

beenthere An old Tradesmen   Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: PA Posts: 18,678	Pellet Stove It may not be approved as a sole source of heat. Let your current boiler attached. And then also connect your pellet stove.

So for that reason, and various others, you should keep your existing boiler. I have seen a home grown 'saddle bag' design over a pellet stove. No idea how well it works.
