payne heat pump with older bryant fan coil

can i use a Payne PH13NR030 heatpump with my existing Bryant FB4A 30 indoor fan coil/air handler ?
i orginally had a Bryant 693CNX030 heatpump with a SEER 10.10 and the Payne heat pump is a 13.0.
any problem in using this combination? They are both 2 1/2 ton.
any help would be appreciated. thankyou.

It list it as a match no problem.
If they don't. you will probably have lots of trouble. The refrigerant charge will never be right if its not a match.

A 10 seer coil is not a match for a 13 seer heat pump. Replace both componets at the same time.

For less than ideal performance it may work. But the right way is to get a matching coil, and not be penny wise, but pound foolish. It could easily cost more in labor to get the thing balanced than to just replace with an approved match.

Why are you having to consider this scenario?

thankyou for the responses to this thread. the reason i inquired about this is i recently purchased a Payne PH13NR30 thinking that a 2 1/2 ton outside unit would be compatible with my inside unit and all i would have to have done ......is swap out the heat pumps. Does anyone know if i can just replace the fan coil or must the whole air handler/fan coil be replaced? thankyou

I don't know if a matching Payne 13 SEER indoor coil is available.

You may be able to get a Superior, Mortex, or ADP coil.
But may have to go through a contractor to get it.

Heat pumps are more critical in regards to matching equipment. I would contact an HVAC contractor to locate you a matching unit. It's not a good idea to hook up equipment with different seer ratings. It can void factory warranties, especially in regards to compressors.
