Is this a part from an old furnace?

There is a mystery object in my basement, left behind by the previous owner. I showed a picture to someone who said it looked like it could be a part from an old furnace, but he wasn't sure.

Has anyone seen something like this before? I'm so baffled

Looks like gas burners from an old coal furnace conversion. They are probably cast Iron and not worth anything.

Why would they leave them? Are they a hassle to get rid of?

Looks like the grates from a coal burner. Worth a few bucks at a salvage yard.

After looking at them a little closer you could be right Beenthere, they could be the grates. Two brains are better than one. .

I also think its like the grates. Or its better if you ask the previous house owner.

They probably left them so they didn't have to carry the heavy beasts up the stairs.
