Pant Wye vs. Side Take-off

Near the end of my 12" round sheet-metal trunk line, I have two 6" round sheet-metal side take-offs, both of which immediately have 90 degree elbows.

This is the supply for the bonus room over the garage.

I would like to convert these side take-offs to a 12x6x6 pant tee wye attached to the end of the trunk.

How much improvement in the bonus room vent velocity might I expect by eliminating two 90 degree turns?
