Painting furnace room with 1 part epoxy

Hey guys!

I just want to be sure because I cant find anything online and i am a bit paranoid about furnaces in general, I wanted to know if it could be dangerous or violates any codes to paint the floor of the furnace with 1part epoxy?

Thanks!

Contact the paint manufacturer and see if it "gases off" gives off explosive gases now or later and see if they recommend it. Or your insurance company.
