Overheating issue

Hi, I have a problem with my Winchester gas furnace. It keeps tripping the limit switch. The filter was very dirty so I did replace it. When I reset all three limit switches it will start up but the fan goes on but at a very slow speed which then never moves the heated air which then trips the limit switch again. Why might this be happening? Thank you.
