Open crawl space to heated basement

I just purchased a pellet stove. I think I'm going to place it in the basement, since I removed my oil-burning furnace and ductwork and put a mini-split with a heat pump upstairs.

My question involves an addition I'm planning. My house is a raised ranch. To match the floor level of the addition with that of the main structure, I'm going to build the new living space over a crawl space.

My plan for the crawl space is to

1) use four inches of xps foam on the block foundation (seams sealed)
2) put 2" foam directly on the dirt, taping the seams
3) put a poly sheet over the foam
4) put advantech sheathing over the poly sheet and the foam
5) knock out a couple of blocks between the new crawl space under the additon and the above-grade portion of basement wall
6) cover the holes with some sort of grate, register, or through-the-wall fan, providing heat to the addition by filling the insulated, unvented crawl space with heated air from the pellet stove positioned near the new openings in the basement wall.

The pellet stove can produce up to 38,000 btu/h, which is theoretically enough for up to 1500 square feet of living space. I would like to direct some of the heat throughout the basement, which is approximately 630 square feet. The crawl spacewill be approximately 600 square feet. I'm not opposed to supplementing the pellet stove with mini splits in the addition. With the level of insulation I intend to provide for the crawl space, will this setup provide significant heat to the addition? I'm also considering using ICFs for the new foundation.

Please let me know what you think.

Any thoughts on my plan?
