One week old Lennox EL296V inducer motor housing full of water

Just had a Lennox EL296V installed last week and the inducer motor is making weird noise and water is leaking out of the motor housing, I searched the forum, some suggested the drain trap be cleaned, however, I can see water draining to the floor drain when heat is on ... any idea? did the installers do a shxtty job? thanks,

Apparently there is a slight issue with them not draining properly if the vent pipe that goes after the trap to allow it to siphon is not exactly to the length/specs and EXACT configuration Lennox specified in the install manual. One of my fellow techs had the same problem when that pipe is too long. Simple fix, just shorten it to the correct length. I am sure Lennox will have a TSB tech service bulletin for us soon. It must be in the correct configuration and you CANNOT drain the AC coil into the top of it either which is a common shortcut some guys use. Everything must match what they show you in the picture for how to drain the furnace and install the trap and drain line. Furnace must also be sloped forward about 1/4 to 1/2 inch and that goes with any brand.

The vent pipe after the trap seems to be installed correctly per the manual, 1" long (max 2") per the manual, I cannot tell whether it's sloped, however, the manual does say that the furnace can be installed either "level" or "sloped".

May be a bad inducer motor and the gasket behind it is faulty. We have not had major problems with them but a few of those gaskets leak. Always going to get a few bad inducers 5% failure rate on everything new including cars so I would get the installer to fix it.

The installer came in and sloped the furnace a tiny bit and the furnace is working much better now, some water still gets into the inducer motor housing, however, it's much less based on the noise level and I am not overly concerned. I cannot believe an easy fix as simple as that can make such a huge difference.

I always slope my furnaces a bit. You can actually hear water being sucked into the ventor fan (carryover) as those units are so quiet you can hear it. A little bit is OK as it has a plastic impeller and can sling water.

It was -30 yesterday and the furnace was acting up again, went back home and there was no heat, checked outside intake / vent, no obstruction, air filter is clean, the furnace spat out a whole bunch of error codes, 272, 227 and 250. called the installer immediately, however, 5 minutes after I hang up, the furnace reset itself and started working and has been working fine ever since. is it normal for Lennox furnaces? shall I be concerned? BTW, when the burner kicks in, it always gives error code 229 and goes into HIGH, then down to LOW after less than a minute, checked Lennox manual, it says "no action required". also, even though the installer came in and sloped the furnace, water still gets into the inducer motor housing, not as bad as it was though (based on the noise level), and the inducer motor seems to run really hot.
